چکیده
To maintain synchronous operation of interconnected systems, it is necessary to keep balance between power generation and consumption. Faults may result in large oscillations flows loss-of-synchronism one generator the rest system. A correlation coefficient a useful statistic that can be used detect voltage, frequency or angular instabilities, determine an asynchronous process. Hence, smart technique predict out-of-step event following fault situations. In this paper, based on auto/cross-correlation instantaneous powers presented identify sudden disturbances various electrical signals case operation. validate method performance, network with real parameters simulated Alternative Transient Program (ATP) platform, algorithm implemented MATLAB software. Simulation studies reveal proposed scheme able conditions upon which relay issues trip signal, yet remains inactive under normal synchronized operating conditions. Thus, declared before second pole slipping occurs, instability time accurately assessed. Moreover, develop novel quadrilateral characteristics discriminate AC generator.

متن کاملInternal Fault Detection, Location, and Classification in Stator Winding of the Synchronous Generators Based on the Terminal Voltage Waveform
In this paper, a novel method is presented for detection and classification of the faultyphase/region in the stator winding of synchronous generators on the basis of the resulting harmoniccomponents that appear in the terminal voltage waveforms. Analytical results obtained through DecisionTree (DT) show that the internal faults are not only detectable but also they can be classified andthe rela...
